                     What properties or standards of of Polycarbonate for Outdoor Use?


For the plastics parts made of polycarbonate granules or resins, the most popular standard is UL746C-F1/F2.


UL746C requires two methods of testing:

<1> The samples are exposed to carbon weatherometer for 720hours or xenon-arc weatherometer for 1000hours.

The flammability level will keep the same,while the mechanical properties will keep more than 70% compared the 

specimen 

<2> The samples are immersed in water for 7 days at the temperature of 70℃. The test specimen must keep more

than 50% of the original properties like the tensile strength, the flexual modulus.....
