Gloss can not only enhance the appearance, but also judge the quality. A common problem faced by manufacturers when manufacturing molding products is the degree of gloss: even if the same resin and color agent are used, the molding process itself will usually lead to different surfaces on the surface of the product. Glossness, thereby greatly changing the appearance and "feeling" of the plastic.


Glossness measurement is the most widely used surface appearance quality assessment. The instrument called gloss meter is completed by measuring mirror reflection. Mirror reflection is directly related to the ratio of incident light and reflection light. In other words, the device transmits continuous light beams from a fixed angle to the surface, and then measures the reflection light volume from the same angle to measure the output from the luster unit (GU) to measure the gloss. Traditionally, the gloss meter is equipped with one or more measurement angles (20 degrees, 60 degrees, and 85 degrees) to provide users with the required accuracy. The 60 -degree angle (also known as the "general angle") is best to determine which angle is used.
