Practical Applications of PP T103

     PP T103 is a homopolymer polypropylene resin with a melt flow rate of approximately 3.3–4 g/10min. It features good rigidity, excellent thermoforming performance, high surface gloss and clarity, along with stable chemical resistance and low moisture absorption. These advantages make it a popular raw material for thermoforming food packaging, widely exported to markets including Turkey.

     The primary application of PP T103 is thermoformed disposable food containers. Manufacturers use it to produce thin-wall PP cups for yogurt, ice cream, fruit cups and ready-meal trays. The material can form uniform thin sheets during extrusion, with good deep-draw capability in thermoforming processes. Its outstanding heat resistance allows the finished containers to withstand hot filling and microwave reheating, meeting food contact requirements. Besides food cups and trays, it is also used for disposable transparent lids and small food storage boxes.

     Beyond food packaging, PP T103 is selected for some rigid disposable packaging for non-food sectors. It can be thermoformed into blister packs for small consumer goods, stationery and cosmetic inner trays.
